We are in the middle of a "freeze your tits off" cold front at the moment. I find it impossible to be cute and fashionable in this sort of weather. My main thoughts revolve around food, warm blankets, woolly unattractive socks, more food, hot chocolate, Oh and I don’t like to shave my legs either, you get the gist, it can get rather ugly! However, having said that, I do have just one item in my closet that, despite the lazy slump and lack of grooming that this dreadful weather brings, manages to ooze cool sophistication and turns me into a glamour queen at the flick of a hat, literally. I bought this funky fury hat on my recent trip to Prague, I affectionately referred to is as "my creature" throughout the trip. I must just mention that it was spring in Prague and the locals could spot the tourist, moi, a mile away. The one dude even had the gall to tell me that I was a season late for this hat. Rude! It’s cute, comfy and is every bit as warm as it looks. These pics were taken in Prague.
{this was taken in Old Town Square, Prague}
{Me and my boyfriend. He is the person responsible for all of the fabulous photography on my blog, have i mentioned he is a bona fide rockstar, check out his band, cutting jade on facebook.}
{The gorgeous Charles Bridge behind us, and the famous Lake Vltava flowing just under us}
It blows my mind that this city, which is situated in the centre of Europe managed to escape virtually untouched by the war that surrounded it. Whilst other countries were being bombed and invaded, Prague stood tall in all its glory and still stands today, unscathed. It’s no wonder it is called the Pearl of Europe. I like to think that this is because little tiny fairies inhabited the land back in the day and that their only task was to frolic all day, dusting the land with their enchanted dust. This is just the type of imagery that this mystical place conjures up. The Czech Republic boasts more castles per square mile, than any other major country, it’s just surreal and you can feel the magic right down to your toes.

Hello Chantel,
ReplyDeleteWelcome to my humble blog, great to see another SA blogger, and it is an honor to have you visit and leave a sweet comment.
I agree with you on the arrogance and confident opinion, arrogance tips the scale right into another (nasty) category.
I know this is dangerous territory, but I am going to risk it anyway. I have to compliment you on your pics and your site, it is fabulous. Now for the dangerous part, I am not sure if you know Audrina Patridge, I have quite a few pics of her on my site as she is one of my favorites. Now first glance I took of the first two pics of you on this post, I thought there is a definite resemblance, specially the eyes. I am sure if you had a longer fringe, combed to the side, people will mistake you for Audrina. Specially if you allow your eyes to look kinda droopy. :) Am I on thin ice here? Hope not, it is actually a huge compliment for you, I think Audrina has the most beautiful and sexiest eyes.
Well, fortunately I am far away, so you cannot hit me with anything if you do not agree, but you are welcome to disagree with me anytime. (as long as you put it in writing and not send someone to break my knees hehe....)
Thanks again for leaving a comment, hope to see you visit again, and hope to see lots of new outfit posts of you on your site.
Have a stunning weekend.
Colin.

I visited Prague a few years ago and I just loved it! Also, obviously we're in our summer here in the US, but I've been wondering what I'll do about outfit photos once the cold weather rolls around! Uh oh! I don't blame you for feeling unmotivated in the middle of a cold front - stay inside and keep warm. Snuggly sweaters seem to be in order.
ReplyDeleteAlso, be sure to check out my blog for a chance to win a pair of earrings! Hope to see you over there.
